As a CNC Machinist at Ryerson, you will be responsible for machine setup and operation for part processing and ensuring quality standards.
Roles and Responsibilities

CNC Machine set-up and operations

Feedstock material inspection to ensure quality specifications

Calibration of measuring equipment

Part inspection to ensure quality specifications

Basic machine maintenance, including assisting maintenance personnel during breakdowns

Scrap management of remnants and efficient scrap utilization

Operating a sit-down or side loader forklift to move material as needed

Proper completion of paperwork and SAP work order confirmation for shipping/receiving on the computer

Requirements

Successfully pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

Minimum 4 years of similar job experience preferred

Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer

Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility
